Pasadena's California Museum of Art did a survey on his prints and included the printing press he used. Read the labels and you discover it's owned by that very print museum.

http://pasadenaadjacent.com/2012/10/28/paul-landacres-aventures-in-edendale/ Pasadena Adjacenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09031325790590238246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5828159045163586461.post-63823616063921447342015-05-01T22:38:01.107-07:002015-05-01T22:38:01.107-07:00Yes, they're just wonderful, Petrea! And right out of college, I wrote for a small mag that still used the linotype. It's said that the expression, "Mind your p's and q's," originated with the linotype or an earlier incarnation, as it was easy to place these letters in the wrong slot.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5828159045163586461.post-56216285300847363092015-05-01T16:18:01.035-07:002015-05-01T16:18:01.035-07:00Ron, all Mystery History photos are Pasadena-relat...Ron, all Mystery History photos are Pasadena-related. A linotype operator created a slug for me with my name on it. I wonder where that treasured trinket ended up... What amazes me is that picture actually brings back the memory of that visit, though my recalled perspective of the machine was from a lower height!Davishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08477349146179059196noreply@blogger.com
