My Dad, who moved from Minnosota to Pasadena at the age of three (today would have been his 94th birthday) told me there used to be a Busch Gardens on the east bank of the Arroyo Seco just below the Colorado St. Bridge(?). Could these lovely misses be possibly overlooking its roller coaster?
Davis, Busch Gardens originated in Pasadena, but it was not a theme park with a roller coaster. I did a Mystery History post about Busch Gardens last year on my Pasadena PIO blog. You can see that post here.
