In 2010, when he was a U.S. Marine, Sgt. Craig Grossi rescued a stray dog on a battlefield in Afghanistan and named him Fred. When Grossi returned home to the U.S., it was Fred's turn to rescue him -- from PTSD and traumatic brain injury.
