Mystery History

Where are we? And what's happening?

The first person to answer both questions correctly will win lunch with me -- I'll buy yours and you'll buy mine.

Remember to leave your best guess as a brief comment to this blog post but don't try to give the entire back story (that's my job!).

I'll have the full scoop on Thursday.

  1. Looks like an archaeological dig in the early 20th century. If it's in the San Gabriel Valley, the masonry would indicate a Spanish structure. But that's an awful lot of sediment to be covering it. Poor location in a flood plain? That's all I can figure. Looking forward to your answers, Ann!

  7. Anonymous, you don't have to live locally to venture a guess. We may not be able to meet for lunch, but that doesn't mean you can't win anyway!
