Mystery History

Where are we? And what's happening?

The first person to guess correctly will win lunch with me –– I'll buy yours and you'll buy mine.

Remember, leave your brief guess as a comment on this blog post but don't try to give the entire back story (that's my job).

I'll have the full scoop on Thursday.

  1. Could this be the cornerstone dedication at PCC? Looks like the twenties!

  2. Dedication of the Colorado Boulevard Bridge over the Arroyo.

  3. This is confusing. All those straw boaters plus a stovepipe hat! This must be Abe Lincoln's visit to the early 20th century. Nice of him to stop in Pasadena.

  4. Those aprons make me think of Freemasons. Is this the dedication of the first Masonic Temple in Pasadena?

  5. I think I see a crane. Could they be using a pulley system to bring up a bell to the dome at City Hall?

  6. This is a tough one! There are so many different types of people there, including children. However, the biggest clue is the white feathery type hat that initially made me think of the USC marching band (except theirs are cardinal red). I think those are actually Knights of Columbus, and perhaps they are attending some phase of the construction (dedication?) of St.Luke's Hospital?
